"We showed Northampton exactly the same respect we'll show Fulham when we play then in the Premiership on Saturday," Wigley said after the game.
"We'd had Northampton watched three times and prepared for them in exactly the same way we'd prepare for any Premiership game, exactly the same way we'll prepare for Fulham.
"There's always one banana skin in each round of any cup competition and we had to make sure we didn't become victims and make the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
