Rossi in no man's land.

Youssef Rossi is currently with the Saints for a look around while the club assess him - which isn't a trial, the club stress. However the nature of his departure has upset Dunfermline who haven't seen him in five weeks.

Dunermline chairman John Yorkston said: "We bought him for a relatively small sum and knew we would have to sell him some time - but not so soon.

"He'd be a loss but not a great loss. I'd far rather sell him because Andrius Skerla, Scott Thomson, Barry Nicholson and Chris McGroarty, for example, would be greater losses to the team.

"If we sell Rossi then that would help us keep those other players at the club. I just hope that he is a Southampton player by the end of the week."

Youssef has not handled his eagerness to move on well at all and it's a bit unsettling to think of a player like that at Southampton.
