Alex followed in Adam's footsteps with an appearance for the England Under-21s last week, before playing a key role in Saints' 1-0 victory over Carlisle on Saturday, and Lallana is glad that the seventeen year-old stayed at the club during the transfer window.
"He's got a massive future," Adam enthused.
"The lad's seventeen and he was mixing it with lads who are playing every week in the Premiership last week. From what I heard, he easily held his own and shown what he's capable of.
"It's only going to be a matter of time before he progresses and plays at that level, but it's his first season, so I think it was a mature decision to stay here and play week in week out in this league because he'll learn a lot.
"He's a massive talent and him not moving on is a massive signing in itself really."
