Delgado's back

Agustin Delgado has ended his huff and returned to his club. Rupert Lowe had tried to be diplomatic when he said that the player had left for Ecuador to fully recover, when we all knew he had gone awol. Now he's suddenly reappeared and Mr. Lowe will not be too pleased with the lack of warning.

"He turned up out of the blue and apologised to me for the trouble he has caused and for disappearing like that. That is all I know," said Gordon Strachan.

It's going to be a long, hard road for Delgado to get anywhere near the first team. The club shouldn't send out the wrong message to the rest of the squad who fight hard to get into the team.

For a start, he will have to recover from his knee and back injuries. He's never been fully fit, despite what he said as he stormed off home. Strachan will not consider someone, who can't give one hundred percent over the full ninety minutes of a Premiership game.

It will be interesting to see if Agustin is mature enough to put all this behind him and start putting some effort in.
