A look over our next opponents - Rotherham

One to Watch- Veteren Mark Robins
Saints will be facing Rotherham in the third round of the FA Cup on the 16th January. The Millers are currently in 17th position in the First Division, theie first appearance in that league since the very early eighties.

Previous Encounters:-
Saints have met the Millers on sixteen previous occasions in the league, all in the second division with the results generally falling to whoever is at home.

At the eight played at the Dell Saints have won six drawing once, while at Rotherham have won five and drawn two of their eight. The draw for Saints took place in the last match the two played, way back in the 1965/66 season.

Saints have notched up the two biggest victories, both 6-1 . One in the 63/64 season and one the year after, both at the Dell.

Rotherham's biggest win was 4-1 back in 1951/52.

Have a look at all of these encounters and more in our head-to head section.

Players to watch:-
Mark Robins : Mark Robins has always been a prolific goalscorer at a number of clubs including Manchester United and Norwich. His arrival at Rotherham has been of pivotal importance in their rise to the first division. Robins will be out to prove himself against Premiership opposition.

My Prediction (which I'll come to regret putting in no doubt) is a 2-0 away win for the Saints.
