This time a Johnstone's Paint Trophy 1/4 final triumph over luckless Charlton Athletic. The Addiocks were knocked out of the FA Cup by non league Northwich on Sunday.

Enough about them though. Southampton had this game wrapped up with strikes from Wayne Thomas (34 mins) and Rickie Lawmbert (63 mins).

For the second cup game in a row there was a late score when Charlton pulled on back in injury time but again Saints held on.

The draw for the Southern semi final takes place this coming Saturday (Nov 14th).
