Rumour Roundup - Taylor and Baltacha

St Mirren's Ukrainian-born defender Sergei Baltacha may sign within the next few days, Baltacha has extended his trial period with Southampton for a further week. Presumably the Saints coaching staff have seen potential in him which is more than he would have been showing in a dismal St. Mirren team.

Saints are one of eight clubs said to be interested in Luton's left back Matthew Taylor. This link has been going for quite a while although there has been precious little to support it. With Wayne Bridge, Ryan Ashford and Francis Benali at the club already, do we really need another left back ? . I don;t think so and this one smacks of agent stirring.
