World Cup Saints

Anders Svensson went out of the world Cup along with Sweden after they were beaten by a golden goal from Senegal. Sweden had taken the lead after 10 minutes but were pegged back by Camara. Svensson looked very impressive for the Swedes and was at the centre of many of their passing moves. In extra time , his drag back took him away form two Senegal defenders only for his shot to hit the post. Only minutes later Senegal put together an excellent passing move which was converted by Camara got his second to end the tie.

If Svensson can produce this level of form next season he will be a major asset to the Saints. The Saints team must adjust their style to allow Svensson to flourish in the side as he could be a key part in our goalscoring in the future.
