It sees the return of Dave Jones to the club. While many think he would have been sacked had events outside football not intervened, many of the players are obviously grateful for the break Jones gave them in the Premiership.

"I think a lot of players at the club have a lot of time for Dave and a lot to thank him for," said Chris Marsden.

"He put us on the way to where we are at the moment.

"I have known him for seven or eight years and myself and Paul Jones both signed for him at Stockport.

"We did well and he brought us both to Southampton .

"So people are spot-on when they say I have a lot to thank him for.

"It will be tremendous to see him again but it's the nature of football that I will be aiming to repay him by knocking his team out of the FA Cup."
