Wigley: We Should Have Won

The match at The Valley ended goalless, Saints keeping their first clean sheet of the season, but the boss thought that with the ammount of chances the side created, especially in the second half, that they should have won the game.

"I thought we did enough to win the game," he told Sky Sports after the game.

"We had more opportunities and the players worked very and were very committed.

"We created a lot of chances but we didn't take one.

"We had a game plan and the players worked very hard and stuck to it.

"We knew as the game went on, we'd pass the ball a little better.

"We wanted to get balls into the box, which we did, and we just didn't get the final touch we needed."
