Wigley given dispensation from FAPL to manage/coach until August 2005

The FA Premier League have given Steve Wigley until 1st August 2005 to gain his UEFA B coaching qualification.

The club were rumoured to be appointing a suitably qualified assistant coach to give Wigley an advantage in the appeal, but even without the appointment the FAPL have granted Wigley a stay of execution.

One point from six games, however, means Wigley may struggle to make it past the previous deadline of December - though more due to the growing frustration of the supporters and a continued malaise on the pitch than to any lack of a European pin badge.
