Saints FA Cup semi final will be played at Villa Park with kick off at 4:30 on Sunday April 13th.
With so many fans travelling on a Sunday you would have expected some extra trains to be laid on. But no, Virgin aren't putting on any extra services.
In addition to that, there will be engineering works on April 13th as well. This means that buses will replace trains between Basingstoke and Reading.
Virgin trains have already stopped taking bookings for fans planning to return home after 8:00, so unless you're really quick forget about it.
Hopefully some clever Saints fan with an encyclopedic knowledge of train timetables will have found an alternative route, but it's just really irritating that so little is done to ensure a straightforward day out for fans wanting to attend a major sporting event.
