"It's not true that I don't like it at Southampton," said Svensson of some reports in tehe Swedish press.
"I'm very happy here. If I hadn't come here and been treated as well as I have been by the players, staff and fans, I would never have had one of the best experiences of my life.
"I'm looking forward to signing an extension to my contract. We're talking about a two-year deal. I like it here so hopefully I can stay a few more years."
With his club future looking bright, Svensson is also looking for Sweden's qualification to the Euro '04 finals.
"I think we have a good chance to qualify, and having played in the World Cup, I would love to play in the European Championships.
"But that is a long way off and I have to concentrate on the season ahead with Southampton before I think of anything else."
