"We know Saturday's match is probably going to decide who goes down and we have to fight and win everything," he told the club's official website.
"When you look at the ability in the dressing room, everyone in there has got to say we are a better team than Crystal Palace and we have to lift ourselves.
"I know that some people have knocked us this season, but without a doubt this is the best squad we have had since I've been here.
"The situation we are in now is dangerous, but we have to make sure that nervousness and frustration don't creep in.
"I think maybe we relaxed a little too much earlier in the season and for some reason we weren't picking up the points when we were playing well, but we have got massive experience in that dressing room."
