Strachan's Ginger Reaction

Gordon said: "In the second half they were very good and ran out comfortable winners in the end.
"We were not as good as them with our final pass or finish. Our build-up play was, at times, very good and we got into some great positions to cross the ball, but we didn't have an end product."

"From 18-yard box to 18-yard box I thought we did well, but that area is basically propaganda," he said. Reality starts in both boxes, and that's what let us down. On the day, their better players, and especially the front two, were better than our better players. As long as they keep the front two fit, they'll be all right. The front two are firing for them just now. They were too good for us on the day, the front two."

Gordon went on to tell the official site: "If you want me to be upset about the penalty then I will be. The main thing is that it came at a bad time for us. The crowd were a bit edgy and had got on at them a bit. We have proved in the past we can score goals away from home. If we had gone in at 2-1 down then I would have backed us. But we need our best players to be playing well unless we are lucky - and you can't chance to luck in this division. Their better players were better than ours on the day and we did not have enough in our locker to score the goals. Their front two did extremely well. But our attitude was first-class so I cannot complain."
