Southampton predicted lineup vs West Ham - Premier League

Southampton travel to face West Ham in the Premier League as they look to widen the gap between themselves and the relegation zone.

The Saints' clash with Brentford last weekend was postponed due to a Covid-19 outbreak among the Bees' squad, and Ralf Hasenhuttl will be keen to end his side's winless run heading into a congested fixture schedule.

Southampton's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace last time out made it six games without a victory for Hasenhuttl's men, with their inability to turn draws into victories characterising their struggles this season.

Here's how the Saints could line up.

Southampton predicted lineup vs West Ham - Premier League

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Willy Caballero (GK) - About everything you'd expect from a 40-year-old veteran, adding experience but not quite good enough.

Tino Livramento (RB) - Arguably Southampton's player of the year with his marauding runs from deep.

Lyanco (CB) - Warrior-like in defence, always playing on the edge and never scared to throw himself into challenges.

Mohammed Salisu (CB) - Developing into a composed presence at the heart of Southampton's backline.

Kyle Walker-Peters (LB) - Like Livramento, his ability to carry the ball forward is crucial for Southampton.

2. Midfielders

Oriol Romeu (CM) - A fan favourite, adding bite and aggression in Southampton's midfield.

James Ward-Prowse (CM) - A dead-ball specialist and netted a sumptous free-kick against Crystal Palace last time out.

Will Smallbone (CM) - Impressed at Selhurst Park and Hasenhuttl could turn to the 21-year-old again as he looks to shore up the midfield.

3. Forwards

Moussa Djenepo (RW) - Could replace the inconsistent Nathan Redmond in the forward line.

Armando Broja (ST) - Beginning to find his groove for the Saints and he could be the talisman that they require.

Nathan Tella (LW) - Southampton's most consistent winger, although he needs to improve his end product.
