Southampton predicted lineup vs Swansea - FA Cup

Southampton travel to face Swansea in the third round of the FA Cup with Ralph Hasenhuttl looking to get his hands on silverware as Saints boss.

The mood was brightened among the St. Mary's faithful this week when it was announced that an investment firm backed by Serbian businessman Dragan Solak had completed the purchase of an 80% majority stake in the club.

Hasenhuttl will hope the takeover loosens the shackles on his transfer kitty in January, but he will have to navigate a potential banana skin against Championship opposition this weekend.

Here's how the Saints could line up.

Fraser Forster (GK) - The Southampton faithful have been clamouring for his introduction into the team.

Yan Valery (RB) - With Livramento injured and Walker-Peters likely to be rested, the 22-year-old will be keen to impress.

Jan Bednarek (CB) - Has struggled at times this season and he'll hope for more consistency in 2022.

Jack Stephens (CB) - Hasenhuttl is likely to rotate in central defence, meaning the 27-year-old could be in line for a start.

Romain Perraud (LB) - Impressed at the start of the season while Walker-Peters was absent through injury.

2. Midfielders
