Southampton predicted lineup vs Brighton - Premier League

Southampton aim to get back in the groove as they travel east to face Brighton in the Premier League.

Ralph Hasenhuttl's men might have thought they'd turned a corner with a recent 1-0 victory over Arsenal to bounce back from a 6-0 mauling at the hands of Chelsea, although a 2-0 defeat at relegation-threatened Burnley last time out has surely sunken spirits again.

With one win in their previous seven Premier League outings, they face a Brighton side fresh from earning six points from a run of fixtures against Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City. Here's how the visiting side may shape up.

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Fraser Forster (GK) - With Alex McCarthy still absent, Forster will certainly continue between the sticks.

Yan Valery (CB) - Potentially sticking with a three-man defence, Hasenhuttl could opt for the young Frenchman for a fourth game in succession.

Jan Bednarek (CB) - Set for a 17th successive Premier League start in this one.

Mohammed Salisu (CB) - Having been an unused substitute for the previous two, the Ghanian could return in place of Lyanco, who was pretty calamitous at Turf Moor.

2. Wing-backs & Midfielders

Tino Livramento (RWB) - Enjoying a fantastic maiden campaign for the Saints and could return for a first start in three league outings.

Oriol Romeu (CM) - In line for a 32nd league appearance of the term, despite a criminally wasteful showing last time out.

James Ward-Prowse (CM) - It's James Ward-Prowse - he'll obviously start.

Kyle Walker-Peters (LWB) - A better defender than Perraud, the ever-improving Walker-Peters might be switched over to the left flank to contend with the explosive Tariq Lamptey.

3. Forwards

Che Adams (RF) - A change up front is visibly needed for the Saints, so we could see Adams return in place of Stuart Armstrong.

Armando Broja (ST) - The Albanian will likely retain his spot, searching to hit the back of the net for the first time in ten Premier League outings.

Mohamed Elyounoussi (LF) - Hasenhuttl has numerous options should he wish to switch things up even more across the front line but Elyounoussi looks to have claimed a starting spot for his own recently, having started the previous 11.
