Saints v MK Dons. Early team news

Chadwick has missed the last four games with a thigh injury but has been back in training this week and is fit to start if called upon.

Oscar Gobern has returned to the Saints after his loan spell but brother Lewis is fit again after a hamstring problem and is pushing Chadwick and on-loan Blackburn winger Aaron Doran for a starting role on the right.

Defenders Jude Stirling (groin) and Sean O'Hanlon (knee) remain long-term absentees while Danny Woodards is back in light training after an ankle injury but is not yet ready to return to action.

Ince's side have won the last four games in all competitions without conceding a goal and another win could see them move into the automatic promotion places.

David Connolly will be pushing for his first start for Southampton.

The Irish striker scored on his debut as a substitute in Saturday's 3-1 win at Oldham and has another weeks' training under his belt as he continues to build up his fitness.

Boss Alan Pardew therefore has almost a full squad to choose from.

Veteran full-back Graeme Murty is the only injury absentee, and he is expected back in training in November following his knee ligament injury.

Midfielder Lloyd James will continue to fill in at right-back as the in-form Saints go in search of a fourth straight league win.
