Saints slump to Spurs double defeat

After our defeat in the last minute against Spurs on Saturday, I was really hoping that our reserves would win by a landslide. Unfortunately, they ran out 2-0 victors.

Saints will be disappointed with the result as they had several senior players in the side. Andrei Kanchelskis played the full ninety minutes and had a couple of decent effrots on goal.

Dennis Rofe said: "It is often the way that the performance dips when you have a lot of senior players in the Reserves and I was disappointed with a few of them.

"Andrei Kanchelskis did reasonably well. He got the full 90 minutes which was was another step towards his fitness. He tired a bit in the closing stages but that was only to be expected."

Moss, Dodd, Benali, Draper, Monk, El Khalej, Kanchelskis, Oakley, Davies, Tessem (Surman 78), Howard (A Davies 65). Subs: Byles, Blayney.
