Saints on the move

Neil Moss has rejoined is old club Bournemouth on a month's loan. The arrival of Antii Niemi has effectively ended any chance for Neil to appear again for Saints and hopefully the move will put him firmly into the shop window. Neil would like to stay in the area so a permanent move to Bournemouth would seem ideal, if they can afford him of course. Moss told the Echo: "Whether I stay longer than a month will obviously be up to Bournemouth. Gareth Stewart's apparently about six weeks from getting back to fitness so it will just be a case of how long Bournemouth want me for. I know that finances are tight and I'm sure that my wages are even more of a strain on things and Gareth is obviously the 'keeper here at the moment, so it's a case of me filling in for him.

Moss, who will go straight into the team to take on Bury today, added: "A few of the boys, like Neil Young, Steve Fletcher and James Hayter, were here when I was here, I know the manager, Bernie the kitman and the people around the ground so it's just like coming home. It's really no trouble at all fitting in.

Also moving on to get some first team experience is Kevin Davies. Davies has joined Millwall in a one month loan deal. Kevin is in the last year of his contract and well down the pecking order in Saints forward line. Hopefully the move will also give him that will to prove himself once again while regular first team football should do wonders for his much talked about lack of confidence. Davies told the Echo: "The first thing I did when I knew I would be coming to Millwall was to look at the fixture list, and I laughed when I saw we were playing Pompey.

"But I'm looking forward to it. I've come to Millwall to play first team football and hopefully score a few goals rather than sit around in Southampton's reserves."
