Saints Dismiss Phillips To Celtic Rumours

Media reports had suggested that new Bhoys boss Gordon Strachan was set to make a bid of around £700,000 for the Saints striker who he signed whilst manager at St Mary's.

"I have read the rumours but we have not received any formal offer for Kevin Phillips and in any case the reported figure of £700,000 would not accurately reflect his value," chairman Rupert Lowe told the Saints official website.
