Otsemebor, 26, could go straight into the Saints side which travels to Millwall on Saturday with regular right-back Graeme Murty still sidelined with an ankle injury.
He is the second defensive reinforcement brought in by Pardew this week following the arrival of centre-half Dan Seaborne from Exeter.
