Saints will be well represented at the World Cup this year. Agustin Delgado and Kleber Chala have been named in the Ecuadorian squad for the finals. So settled is the squad that Ecuador had no qualms about releasing the details almost three weeks before the FIFA deadline.

In addition, Anders Svensson has been included in the Swedish squad for the finals.

Wayne Bridge looks a certainty to be included in the England squad and Rory Delap has an outside chance of making it into the Republic of Ireland squad.

In other international news, Paul Jones has been called up to the Wales squad to face Germany even though he probably won't be fit enough to participate.

Claus Lundekvam and Jo Tessem have been included in the Norway squad which will face Japan on May 14th.
