Redknapp Denies Quit Talk

Certain sections of the media have reported that Redknapp would leave St Mary's whether or not the Saints are relegated at the end of the season.

"I don't know where this story has come from but it is absolute rubbish," Redknapp told the clubs official website.

"This is a good club with a good future and a great set-up. It is all geared for the Premiership and we are only thinking about staying up.

"We have three games left and I still believe we can stay up and then build a team to do the people proud.

"I have another year left on my contract, I signed an 18-month deal and my situation has not changed.

"If we stay up I will be here next year. If we go down then there is still a big job to be done but we have a terrific youth system and some great kids.

"We have everything you need for the top flight but we need to stay there and that is all we are focused on right now.

"I have not looked beyond the end of the season. There is still everything to play for and if we win our last three then we will stay up.

"We all believe we can do that."
