Pardew looking for Brunton Park victory

I'm sure the boss would take a 1 - 0 this time.

"Carlisle are a good League One team," he told the
official website. "They have lost a few games this year but they've won a couple too and they look competitive and organised.

"They have one or to players that could possibly threaten our team, but if we have to approach it in the same mentality as them, who I understand are celebrating 100 years of football at their ground means that they will be highly motivated. However, if we match that, then we should win."

Pardew wasn't totally happy with the players in training this week. He had to have some harsh words to keep the players focussed.

"I felt that complacency was an overriding issue in training this week," he stated. "On Tuesday I thought we were awful, and I don't know what the reaction to a win has been like here in the past, but our reaction to it wasn't good enough and I've made that very clear, so hopefully we've shaken that out of them now.

"I just had to remind them that your last training session is like your last match and if you take every session in that way, then you should have a chance of keeping your place in the team.
