On The Move

Kevin Gibbens has joined Oxford on a week's trial with a view to a loan move until the end of the season. Kevin has never really been able to break through into the first side and this could be an opportunity to get some first team football under his belt. Kevin definitely falls into the fringe category in the squad and would be one of the players expected to move on sooner or later. Another is Stuart Ripley who is currently training with Sheffield United.

Carlisle have offered Adam Wallace a trial at Brunton Park with a view to a permanent deal. The 20-year-old has failed to establish himself at Southampton and Carlisle boss Roddy Collins is determined to bolster his striking options as he bids to avoid relegation.(from Soccerupdate)

In addition, Saints prolific youth striker Mark Peters would seem to be interested in a move to Brentford. Apparently he's having talks with the Bees, the two clubs having agreed a fee. Although Brentford boss Steve Coppell is a big fan of Peters the move may falter over personal terms.

Scott Bevan has returned from his loan spell at Stoke having been considered surplus to their requirements. His future with Southampton is in doubt also after the impressive performances of Williams and Blayney at under 17 and Under 21 level respectively.
