New Saints website launched

Matthew Le Tissier was undoubtedly the best player Saints have had on their books in the past 20 years. It's therefore fitting that fans should go out of there way to remember him. Whether it's renaming a pub The Le Tissier Arms Feet or releasing a tribute CD-ROM, fans want to have something to remember him by.

Simon Walker has put together a simply brilliant website at www.mattletiss.com focusing on Matty. It has everything you would want to know about Le God and more.

From detailed stats on every season Matt played for the Saints, to huge photo galleries and multimedia clips, it's all here.

Of course, the site wouldn't be complete without the views of the supporters and so there is a fan zone where you can send your views to Simon for inclusion on the site. I hope as many of you share your views to make this site as complete as possible.

I asked Simon what his reasons were for putting the site together.

"Le Tissier deserves recognition for what he has done for us. He deserves honours from the club, the city and from the fans. This was my own personal way of honouring Le Tissier, for and with the help of fellow fans. The site is a celebration of his time with the club.

I wanted to make a site where fans could go and find out about his career, from his early days with Saints, through the 1990s, right up to the last goal at The Dell and finally his Testimonial. I hope that visitors find it both entertaining and informative, and that fans of other clubs, who do not know quite why Le Tissier is held in high regard, will begin to understand.

Finally, it must be made known that the site can only grow with the help of the fans, and it is important that you are willing to contribute with your opinions, match reports, memories and photographs. All your help is appreciated. Thanks."

So, what are you waiting for, visit www.mattletiss.com now !
