But some other guy has feelings too and he expressed them to the Echo. Imants Bleidelis looked to be leaving the club before Strachan took over but now he is in contention for Paul Telfer's spot.

Bleidelis said: "I am a bit frustrated," (as you would be, not getting a place occupied by Paul Telfer) "because I think I did enough to get a chance and to improve myself and be in the first team because I play for my international team and can play in our team given a chance.

"I spoke with the gaffer about my situation and he told me in my position Paul Telfer has done very well and I have to wait for my chance.

"But I do play against some of the best players in the world for my country but not for Saints."

"Every-thing is going OK but I am now ready for the end of the season and a holiday." Wow, that part time reserve football must really tire you out. "It was good to play two games in two days but very tiring," continued Imants.

"In the reserves' game against West Ham at St Mary's, we played well but let in three easy goals.

"Against Bournemouth the next day we played very well first half and, overall, I am quite pleased with how I am playing."
