Loan deals extended

This solution will see him get first team football, put him in the shop window as his contract expires at the end of the season, and get him away from Saints where he has been very unhappy.

Another loan deal which was extended by a month, was that of Kevin Davies at Millwall. Also on the last year of his contract, Kevin has relished the opportunity to show he has what it takes and has grabbed three goals in five games.

Davies, however is behind Beattie, Pahars, Ormerod, Delgado and Tessem in the pecking order and would be unlikely to feature for Saints if he returns. The best option may well be to get clubs to take notice of him by playing well at Millwall and then wait and see who comes in for him in the summer.

Davies has been a huge disappointment since his return from Blackburn where he had a torrid time. Perhaps a new environment was the perfect solution for him and there's every chance that his loan deal will be extended further.

Finally reserve striker Brett Poate is on loan to Havant for a month.
