"We need to give the injury time to settle down but then we will take a look at it," Saints physio Jim Joyce told the club's website.
"It does not appear to be a full blown tear at this stage but we need to have a look to get a full picture.
"Graeme came off as soon as he felt it so hopefully there is not too much damage.
"We'll have a better idea after the scan."
