Former Saints Boss Takes Over At Celtic

Strachan, who resigned from his post as Saints boss the season before last, has replaced outgoing boss Martin O'Neill who gave up the job at Parkhead for family reasons.

Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell said: “I can confirm we are delighted that Gordon has accepted the manager’s position at Celtic and I think he will do very well for the club.”

Steve Wigley is expected to be named amongst Strachan's backroom staff at Celtic having left his job as Youth Team coach at St Mary's this week.
