Puncheon is poised to make his home debut against Walsall on Saturday and Fairclough, who managed Puncheon at Barnet, believes he will shine.
"He's got a left foot that's tantamount to being a wand," Fairclough told the Daily Echo. "Technically, he's Premier League standard.
"If he is managed in the right fashion and responds to that, you will have a fantastic player that will tear that league apart."
