Everton Win Race For Beattie

The England striker has opted for a move to Goodison Park in preference to Villa Park for a fee of around £6.5 million.

Beattie will sign for David Moyes' side on the successful completion of a medical, which is planned for Monday, after agreeing personal terms with the Merseysiders on Sunday.
