However, after his clean sheet against Newcastle perhaps Saints should look no further than striker Dexter 'Dextrous Backstop' Blackstock.
This could be a chance for the youngster to secure a permanent starting position in the side and he is certainly has the ability to 'do a Niemi' and go up for corners as rush goalie as Saints look to play a Woodward inspired brand of 'total football' with multi-skilled players!
