Calling Rivals.net / SaintTeds.com Visitors

Last updated : 02 July 2009 By James Joell-Ireland
We at Southampton-mad.co.uk would like to extend our hand to all readers and site contributors that were left without a home after the news broke earlier today that Rivals.net has formerly closed. It's come as a shock to myself as well as I was also a registered member on Rivals until a few weeks ago when the editor position came up here.

So you maybe asking, why come here?

  • A website under new editorial, over the last 3 days (since the website was taken over, we have grown expodentially by 22,000 views a day. This has generated more forum activity and will be looking for extra moderators soon.
  • Match reports and match previews of every game
  • Updated news, as it breaks of everything to do with Southampton FC
  • Coverage of the forthcoming pre-season matches, starting at Eastleigh football club
  • A free to enter prediction league
  • Forum administration with common sense, we welcome Portsmouth fans onto this board as much as Southampton Fans. We can take the heat and moderate professionally. We believe in freedom of speech and not a stalin-esque moderation.
  • Our new starting Saints Fans FIFA 09 league, starting in the next week, register your interest to be a part of the league that will get direct coverage on Saints Mad!
  • We filter the truth from the shoddy journalism, starting with our initial debate piece today about The Daily Echo
  • Video interviews and fan opinions at the start of the new season
  • Every piece of important news on the future of Southampton FC

Previous contributors to Rivals.net how can you help us?

We're always looking out for writers with talent, but most importantly we want people with passion and drive to join our site team. You may have the time to stay up to date with the news and keep the website updated as breaking news happens, you may live close to the training ground and can provide us with further insight. We're open to all suggestions on how to help Saints Mad grow and we look forward to hearing from you all.

Why Saints Mad?

We're enthusiastic at providing up to date coverage of Southampton FC, we're not enticed to make up news for the sake of making news. We're dedicated fans who are open to listening to peoples opinions on the future of this site and feedback to pave future changes.

If you have any questions relating to Saints Mad please use the contact the editor link located on the left hand side. Look forward to seeing you soon!
