Bierhoff a bust

Reports today suggest that the Bierhoff deal is dead and buried. Perhaps it's just because the player is sitting and waiting for all the offers to come in before deciding and they need to write something about it. The Guardian for instance suggests that Bierhoff has turned down an offer of £25 000 a week. For all the press references to Fulham, noone there seems to be bothering much about it, suggesting that it's just an almost unheard of made up journo rumour.

Indeed Rupert Lowe said: "These things take time and the position on Oliver Bierhoff is that we are waiting for a phone call from his agent."

"We are prepared to wait on this one but agents will often attempt to get the very best deal for their client. We are still hopeful he will come."
