Beattie back soon

James Beattie, who suffered a dislocated ankle in Southampton's match against Manchester United has been told that there has been no ligament damage and a return may be possible in around six weeks. This is welcome news after our failure to convert any goals against Rotherham.
Beattie said:

"It's a relief to know that nothing is broken because I feared the worst when I went over on the ankle," he said.

"The ankle will be in plaster for the next two weeks but the damage is not too bad and hopefully I will be back within the next month."
