Since his arrival, the highly rated Argentinian has only been able to make the bench, and he feels that first team football elsewhere would help him settle into English football more quickly.
"I am happy but I just need first team football," Arias said.
"It has been hard for me since my move. I Just want to play and think a loan move could be good for me.
"I hope there will be some scouts watching me at Bolton on Tuesday.
"I don't want to leave as I am more than confident about what I can do for Southampton."
