Adkins excited by Guly

Southampton manager Nigel Adkins is expecting big things from Brazilian midfielder Guly Do Prado this season. With Adkins struggling for options in attack he played Do Prado as the second striker alongside Rickie Lambert against Tranmere on Saturday. And he was rewarded with an all-action display from the recent signing from Cesena as Saints ran out 2-0 winners. "Guly promises to be a real asset. He is getting better and better with every game," said Adkins. "You have to remember he is new to this country and he and his family are having to settle to a new way of life, but he is a talented player and I hope he carries on."
