It's been an interesting summer as far as Saints signings go as Paul Sturrock looks to strengthen the first team rather than bring in "ones for the future." But it looks as though Rupert Lowe is quite content with the squad as it stands, barring any really irrestiable offer.
In have come Nilsson, Van Damme and Crouch. Out has gone the lamentable Delgado with Jo Tessem next to follow. With a strong first team and competition for every place, there isn't the pressure to bring in too many more fresh faces."We never close the door on transfers," said Lowe, "but equally you can have too many players rather than too few.
"We're the envy of many clubs, because our squad is strong and deep."
