Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has backed Saints striker Danny Ings to fire his way into England contention ahead of next summer's Euro 2020 tournament.
The former Liverpool man has starred in a struggling Southampton side this campaign, with his brace last time out in the 3-1 win away at Aston Villa taking his tally to 11 league goals.
As a result, manager Hasenhuttl believes Ings can add a natural predatory instinct to the array of attacking talent already at England manager Gareth Southgate's disposal.
"It's good to have more English strikers who can score, he's a typical No.9 in the box. With his technique, there are not many strikers who are better than him," Hassenhuttl told Sky Sports.
"The good thing is, it's not my job to decide this (if Ings makes the England squad), I have to make so many decisions every day but this one I don't have to do and it's good.
"It's nice for England that they have a lot of very good strikers and Ings is one of them.
"At the moment he is fit, he can score, and we're all happy about that because last season he had big problems with his injuries and was a long time out."
Ings is in a rich vein of form, his strikes against Villa at the weekend helped Saints move out of the Premier League's bottom three and made it 12 goals in his last 13 games in all competitions.
